A series of unique kids art events in Raleigh for 5th through 8th graders with a new theme each month! Join us for this captivating journey and let your imagination soar!

Imagine living in a burrow under a mushroom. You light the fire in your stove, put the kettle on to boil, and settle in with a book. You are wrapped in a warm blanket made of dandelion fluff and the rug under your toes is made of the softest moss. Now turn that feeling into art!
We will learn the history of cozy art through illustrators like Beatrix Potter and needle felt artists like Holly Kirby. Then choose between painting a cozy scene in watercolors, arm weaving a blanket, or needle felting a mushroom!
This art party is sure to feel like a warm, creative hug where your middle school artists can have fun, express themselves, and enjoy the ultimate cozy experience.

March is, on the surface, a quiet month. The cold is slowly loosening its grip, but has not yet allowed spring to emerge. It is a liminal, in between space. We can feel that change is imminent but not yet fully realized. Let’s hold space for the quiet before spring erupts.
At this event, we will explore themes of transition, stillness, anticipation, and transformation in art. How can we express through art these moments of tension between stillness and motion? Each artist is free to work within any medium that speaks to them and leave with a piece of art that explores this theme.
